Adele set to dominate music awards
Some of the biggest names in the music business are expected to be at the Ivor Novello Awards on Thursday. The annual awards - in their 57th year - are highly prized because they are voted for by songwriters and composers. In the past they have attracted names including Sir Paul McCartney, Johnny Marr and Stevie Winwood.
This year's ceremony, at the Grosvenor House Hotel, central London, looks set to be dominated by Adele who picked up a string of nominations for the Ivor Novello Awards. Her hit “Rolling In The Deep” was nominated for Best Song Musically and Lyrically, while her album “21” is in the running for Best Album. She also dominated the category for the most performed track of 2011 with two out of three songs – “Rolling In The Deep” and “Someone Like You” - in the shortlist.
Adele faces competition from Florence + The Machine and Ed Sheeran in the battle for Best Song Musically and Lyrically, who are nominated for “Shake It Out” and “The A Team” respectively.

Pierce Brosnan and Dominic Cooper together in “November Man”
It was announced that Pierce Brosnan and Dominic Cooper have been set to star in the espionage action-thriller “November Man”. This movie will be the first as part of the deal between Pierce Brosnan's production company Irish Dreamtime and The Solution Entertainment Group.
The subject was inspired from Bill Granger’s novel “There Are No Spies”. It finds a former CIA operative dragged back into the spy game for a very personal mission, one which pits him against a former apprentice (Cooper), high-level CIA officials and the Russian political system. Granger’s books follow the same character through several adventures, so there’s fodder for a franchise should this one take off.
Production is set to begin in October in Berlin and it seems like the actor from “James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing” just can’t let go of the espionage world.

“30 Rock” to end
According to the studios, NBC’s 30 Rock will”” conclude after the upcoming seventh season.
The NBC comedy show - which was created by Tina Fey and stars Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan - was recently recommissioned for another run of 13 episodes, but the network have now confirmed that they will be the last, confirming recent speculation about the show's future.
“30 Rock” will draw to a close with a special hour-long season finale. The news comes after Alec - who plays television executive Jack Donaghyin in “30 Rock” - recently hinted he was set to leave the NBC comedy.

New tracks for Girls Aloud?
Girls Aloud are back in the studio recording new material for their 10th anniversary comeback.
“The No Good Advice” singers - Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh - are reforming to mark a decade in the music business, and pop producers Xenomania let slip that the band have been flexing their vocal cords. The music makers tweeted: "Prepping to go in the studio with @NadineCoyle NOW for new GA sessions. New GA sessions with @NicolaRoberts @KimberleyJWalsh @SarahNicHarding in the studio over the last week."
The new material is expected to be released around November, and the girls are also hoping to go on tour - despite rumours of a rift between Nadine and her bandmates.

The Oscar-winning actress, who is known for her love of traveling, is determined to incorporate "wedding traditions from around the world" into their big day on August 11. Angelina and Brad are set to exchange vows at their French chateau this summer with stars including George Clooney and Johnny Depp in attendance. While Brad is thought to want a more traditional ceremony, Angie is pushing for a wedding that'll reflect different cultures with a nod to the native countries of their adopted children Maddox, 10, from Cambodia, Ethiopian Zahara, seven, and Vietnam-born Pax, nine.
A source has said: "She wants to incorporate different ethnic wedding traditions from around the world into one alternative ceremony and event. They both agree on the essentials, like the fact they want it to be a big celebration with their family and friends."
